Theperson.
I’m Emanuele, a full stack software engineer from Genova. Fourteen years in, I still get the same kick from turning a messy problem into something that simply works.

Who
I am.
A builder first, a specialist second.
I work across the whole stack: backend architecture, databases, enterprise security, web front ends and native iOS and Android apps. I like owning a product end to end, from the first conversation about what it should do to the version people actually use.
Today I lead the mobile apps for Flowlead at PixelStudio, the company I have been part of since 2019. In parallel, I lead an AI‑powered mobile app for Scale System as project manager and lead engineer.
Where it
started.
I learned the job by running my own company.
In 2013 I co‑founded Aegual, a two‑person software studio in Genova. With no one else to hand things to, we did it all: websites and web apps for clients like VarGroup and Alfatech, online payments, our own cloud infrastructure on AWS, and a move from PHP to Ruby on Rails along the way.
In 2019 Aegual merged into PixelStudio, going from 2 people to a company of 4 partners and 7 employees. Starting out on my own taught me early that code is only part of the job: it has to solve the client’s real problem and keep working long after launch.
Why I
build.
Development is my job, and also what I do for fun.
Most of my free time goes into building apps or reading up on where the tech world is heading. In 2026 alone I built 41 apps for my own use with AI coding tools: a Git client, a comics drawing studio, a Japanese reading trainer, a workspace for my tabletop campaigns, and more.
That habit is also how I stay current. New tools and ideas get tried on my own projects first, so when a client needs them, I already know where the rough edges are.
How I
work.
Team player
I have led small teams and worked inside bigger ones. I share what I know, ask for help early, and care more about the team shipping than about who wrote what.
Always learning
From PHP to Rails, from the web to native mobile, from servers to AI tooling: every step in my career started with being curious about something new.
Plain language
I explain technical choices in words the whole team understands, so decisions are made on facts, not jargon.
Owns the result
I go where the problem is. For Flowlead that meant going on board in person to test the tracking system in real conditions.
Off the
keyboard.
Travelling
New places, new food, new ways of doing things. Travelling is how I reset, and I usually come home with a few new ideas.
Riding my motorbike
My favourite way to clear my head: a good road, no notifications, full attention on the next bend.
Video games
I still play a lot, and I can’t help looking at games with a developer’s eye: how a system is designed, why a menu feels just right.
Cooking
Another way of building something, just with a much shorter feedback loop: pick a recipe, adjust it, and see what the people at the table think.
